@kunalsummerJeff Cobb opened up about what really stuck with him after his time in WWE, and the answer came down to fan interaction. He says it is definitely huge in Japan, calling them the most wonderful fans he has ever dealt with in his career. The dynamic there is different from WWE though, where things get a little strange because fans will wait at airports. There are times with an early morning flight or a late one, and he has no idea how they know when these flights come in, but fans show up at baggage claim anyway. Part of him can be annoyed by that, but another part makes him appreciate fans more because they are so passionate that they want to come to the airport at 5 in the morning for a chance to interact with one of us. That experience made him appreciate fans more, and then when he returned to Ryogoku he fully expected there to be crickets, or even for some fans to be angry that he left. Instead the feedback he got was 99 percent positive, with so many people thanking him for coming back. It just confirmed to him he was making the right decision in not coming back with United Empire and joining Unbound Co. during this interview with NJPW.
