César Luis Merlo reveals Rodolfo Pizarro was practically ready to sign with an Argentine club last year. The Mexican player intended to end his deal with AEK Athens and had finalized a one-year agreement with Banfield. However, the transfer fell through because his agent insisted on first-class seats for himself and demanded a dedicated seat for his dog during the travel. Banfield found those requests completely absurd and pulled out of the negotiations. Even more surprising is that Pizarro had no idea these conditions existed since they were handled entirely by his representative.
