The anime community is mourning the loss of veteran animator Yūji Yanase, who died at 59. He directed The Insipid Prince's Furtive Grab for The Throne and left behind a massive resume including AKIRA, DORAEMON, Macross 7, Hellsing, Tenchi Universe, Symphogear, Aria the Animation, and Chobits.
