Monkey Quest Toei Animation Lionsgate

Toei Animation and Lionsgate just locked in a U.S. distribution partnership, kicking things off with Monkey Quest as the inaugural release. The project, which used to go by Hyper Galactic, is bringing in licensed stuff from Roblox and Fortnite. You've got Adam Devine, Elsie Fisher, and J.K. Simmons on the voice cast, plus creatives who worked on Jujutsu Kaisen, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Kung Fu Panda. It's a sci-fi hybrid blending 2D and 3D animation styles, scheduled for a 2027 drop.
