The news called a 2016 taxi accident minor, but Red Velvet members Yeri and Seulgi say the reality was nowhere near that. Yeri explained she sustained significant injuries during the crash, noting that her eye whites turned completely red and burst while her eyeball appeared sunken. She agonized over whether or not to have surgery for what felt like a very minor issue, yet she decided against it and is just living with the injury now. Seulgi reported seeing Yeri bleeding at the scene but noted her own injuries were not serious. The collision occurred while the vehicle was turning a curve, causing Yeri to be thrown forward while the driver and Seulgi experienced less impact than she did.
