Carlo Ancelotti and Ronaldo at AC Milan

CARLO ANCELOTTI remembers the moment he signed Ronaldo at AC Milan, noting that upon arrival the player weighed 100 kilos. Before their first match, Ancelotti told him straight up that his weight meant he couldn't be counted on. Ronaldo's response was sharp: ask if he should run or score goals. If running is the job, bench him; if scoring is the job, put him in the lineup. Despite the lack of running, Ancelotti started him anyway. The result? Two goals scored without a single sprint. Ancelotti sums it up by calling Ronaldo simply a phenomenon.
