Hasan on terrorist accusations and Kayagate

The accusation that Hasan is a terrorist sympathizer who loves 9/11 keeps coming from a place he did not expect. He says the people leveling it are often pro Palestine and anti Israel, and when you open their profiles that is exactly what you find. For him the strange part is that some of those same accusers are not merely anti Israel but antisemitic as well, and that discovery is what he cannot wrap his head around. His question is where the inconsistency is manufactured. How does an American claim to despise Israel and the flood of pro Israel propaganda, then swallow that identical propaganda whole and stamp a prominent critic of Israel as a terrorist. He does not see a way to hold both positions at once. Kayagate is the comparison he reaches for. The chuds, as he calls them, were the loudest during the peak of that mess, the ones who announced they use an electric collar and an electric fence themselves while insisting Hasan abused his dog. He points out he has said the collar is a vibration collar, not a shock collar, and the logic of shocking a dog just to keep it inside the camera frame does not survive any scrutiny. The same crowd that ran that argument also decided Kristi Noem was wonderful, which he treats as the tell. The Muslims hate dogs stereotype probably feeds into it, he admits. He knows the idea that he would shock his dog for a framing shot makes no sense, and he says so plainly. What he keeps returning to is the shape of the whole thing: people who will criticize Israel's propaganda without blinking, then believe that propaganda far enough to call an Israel critic a terrorist. #HasanPiker
