Jalil Hackett

They call him "Major," and the hype has followed Jalil Hackett since he was a kid out of Washington, D.C. Born May 11, 2003 (Famous Birthdays), he closed a glittering 140-19 amateur career, graduated high school a year early with a 3.7 GPA, and turned professional in June 2021 on the Mayweather–Paul undercard with a first-round TKO of Angelo Diaz (BoxingTalk, Famous Birthdays).

Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Gervonta "Tank" Davis mentored the early run — Davis personally urged Mayweather Promotions to sign him (SportsWeek). In December 2023 he stopped Adrian Gutierrez in three rounds to win a WBC youth welterweight title, then bet on himself: free agency, and on May 24, 2024, a multi-fight deal with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing at 8-0 (7 KOs) (Top1CK, BoxingNews24).[düzenle]
