Shabang

Drake dropped "Shabang" on May 15, 2026 as the sixth cut from his eighth studio album ICEMAN. The three-minute track arrives through OVO Sound and Republic Records with a production style critics describe as icy. Aubrey Graham wrote the song entirely by himself, crafting lyrics where he shifts between playful punchlines and a menacing mob-boss persona warning rivals of deadly consequences.

The song climbed charts quickly, hitting number one on the Billboard Rhythmic Airplay chart while landing in the top 20 of the Hot 100. By late October 2026 it had amassed over 94.9 million streams on Spotify and became the fourth most-streamed song on the ICEMAN project behind "Janice STFUE," "National Treasures," and "Whisper My Name." The official music video filmed in a Toronto park drew local news attention after a controlled explosion during the shoot startled nearby residents.

Fans immediately adopted the term "shabang" to mean a massive event or explosion, fueling a viral challenge on TikTok and Instagram where users mimicked the song's flow switches. Critics like Rap Direct praised the track as one of the most energetic moments on the album, though some dismissed it as superficial. The song's reach extended into sports entertainment when WWE NXT officially adopted it as their opening theme in October 2026. [düzenle]
