Sky News

Sky News is a British free-to-air television news channel, live-stream news network and multiplatform news organisation owned by Sky Group, itself a division of the American media and telecommunications conglomerate Comcast. It is one of the UK's two major rolling-news broadcasters, alongside the BBC's operation, and distributes content via satellite and cable television, an English-language radio news service, a website and apps, streaming, and extensive social channels.

The channel launched on 5 February 1989 as the United Kingdom's first continuous live television news service, created by Sky Television plc, then a subsidiary of Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation.
