    Genel Bakış

Rito Yuuki is a high school student who struggles to express his feelings for Haruna Sairenji until an alien princess named Lala Satalin Deviluke crashes into his life. This accident triggers a biological response under Deviluke law, forcing Rito to accept Lala as his fiancée. The arrival of Lala and her sisters Yami and Nana upends the quiet existence of the protagonist, introducing a chaotic mix of human classmates and extraterrestrial visitors who all develop romantic interests in him.

Written by Saki Hasemi with art by Kentaro Yabuki, the series ran in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from April 2006 to August 2009. The creators openly aimed to test the limits of editorial guidelines regarding fan service while maintaining the slapstick tone required for a shonen magazine. The title serves as a pun on the English words "trouble" and "love," reflecting the constant misunderstandings that drive the plot forward.

The original manga concluded with 18 collected volumes before transitioning into a sequel titled To Love Ru Darkness. That follow-up series shifted toward more serious character development and romance, running in Jump Square from 2010 to 2017. Combined circulation for both series has surpassed 16 million copies globally.
